Flowers on the Avenues is a small independent florist with a difference, making bespoke floral arrangements, plant hampers and terrariums.
Floral arrangements are made with real but preserved roses and a variety of real dried flowers.
It is Flowers on the Avenues objective to create floral memories that last and can be enjoyed well beyond the life of fresh flower arrangements.
The North Queensland environment is not particularly conducive to the longevity of fresh flowers. Consequently, fresh flower bouquets and arrangements generally have a limited shelf span of 5 to 7 days.
Preserved roses have proven to have a shelf life of 6 months or longer, do not require ongoing care and attention in terms of watering or removal of old or decaying foliage.
Preserved arrangements will look as good in 6 months as the day they were prepared.
Flowers on the Avenues prepares a variety of arrangements, ranging from single to multiple roses of various colours and can be presented as boxed roses, single rose heads in glass orbs, dried Australian native floral arrangements and gift baskets.
Arrangements can be enhanced with the addition of balloons, pick signs, teddy bears, wine, candles and chocolates to cater for the romantics at heart.
All arrangements are set in a keep-sake vase ready for immediate use.
Arrangements can be made to order, or similar products can be purchased from those found on the website.
Terrarium products may be of limited supply as they are prepared, maintained and hardened to local conditions well in advance of being available for sale.
